First of all, it does not require a metering claw on the lenses, so, unlike the Nikon Photomic FTN, you can use the meter with Ai lenses, including newer AF lenses (although you need to update pre-Ai lenses for them to work properly). *Nikon F equipped with Photomic FTN viewfinder that supports TTL center-weighted metering.
